Radiesse is a safe, next generation dermal filler. It is a white gel with suspended calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres (no animal derived ingredients). The gel carrier gradually resorbs and is replaced with your own body’s natural soft-tissue ingrowth. The microspheres provide a matrix into which the body’s own tissue can grow and add volume. By stimulating the body to produce new collagen, this treatment restores a natural, youthful look that can last up to one year! The most typical Radiesse treatments are smoothing and contouring smile lines (nasolabial folds) that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth and frown lines (glabellar folds) between eyes.
LIP ENHANCEMENT

Lips can be restored to their original fullness or made even more shapely by using a long lasting filler, such as Juvéderm® XC. Juvéderm® XC has a natural appearance and feel, when placed under the superficial skin, makes it a great option for adding volume to the lips and surrounding areas. Treatments take minutes to perform and can be done with a topical anesthetic, with or without a nerve block – your comfort is important and we give you choices. On average, results can be expected to last between four to eight months.

PhotoRejuvenation can help reduce the appearance of dark spots, freckles, enlarged pores, discoloration from acne scarring, redness caused by broken capillaries and rosacea. Treatments can also improve the appearance of birthmarks and uneven pigmentation and stimulate the production of collagen. Photo-rejuvenation improves these conditions by using non-invasive pulses of light and is performed through a series of treatments. This is a low risk procedures with little discomfort and relatively no recovery time. Patients can return to their everyday routine immediately following treatment.
ACNE & ACTINIC KERATOSIS TREATMENTS
Acne BLU-U Treatment and PhotoDynamic Therapy
A safe, effective alternative to long-term medications or antibiotics for treating acne.
Self-esteem is renewed as both teen and adult acne can be controlled or cleared with a series of BLU-U treatments. Bring your i-Pod, lay down and relax while the completely painless blue light is delivered to your skin, gently fighting the acne-causing bacteria. Optimal results will be achieved if you follow the recommended twice a week schedule of 16 minute treatments or once weekly 30 minute BLU-U treatments. After several weeks, you will see improvement. and involves a short treatment time of only 16 minutes.
If your acne does not appear to be responding to the blue light treatments alone, our physician may recommend BLU-U Photodynamic Therapy. This treatment requires the application of a topical medication to the skin that is then activated by the blue light – a more aggressive treatment and very effective. A series of three treatments may be recommended.
Actinic Keratosis (AKs) – PhotoDynamic Therapy
The “smart” solution for treating AKs! Evenly treats the entire face without “spot treating”.
By using a special topical solution called Levulan that’s activated by light or laser, abnormal cells are targeted and killed. Levulan is a “smart” solution. It is only absorbed by abnormal cells such as those in pre-cancerous actinic keratosis, sun damaged skin and acne conditions. It is the selectivity of this solution in targeting only the abnormal cells that allows such quick success in restoring your skin to a healthy normal condition. As opposed to “spot” treatments for removing AK’s, Photodynamic Therapy improves the entire area treated creating one color, texture, and tone. In addition to the treatment of AKs, PDT is often used for improving skin tone and texture and treating resistant acne conditions.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser treatments are performed by a Certified Medical Laser Technician or our Physician and can treat undesirable hair anywhere on the body and face. Our patients come to Flagstaff Face & Body with a wide array of skin types, hair types and skin tones – all factors that can determine the outcome for each person. The most common desire is the removal of unwanted hair; however, some want resolution of skin issues caused by ingrown hair. Based on your individual needs, we will choose the appropriate laser and best treatment plan that will produce the most desirable results.
CELLULITE/FAT REDUCTION THERAPY – Lipo-Dissolve
Finally! A treatment for cellulite plus a whole lot more! Beneficial for body contouring, cellulite reduction, focused fat reduction and face/neck rejuvenation (lifting).
Lipo-Dissolve is a non-surgical procedure for body sculpturing that has minimal downtime. It works by injecting a solution into the fat layer where it can be absorbed by the fat cells and break down within a couple weeks. Patients notice loss in inches and find themselves fitting better into their clothes. The ideal recipient of Lipo-Dissolve is healthy and within the normal range of their ideal body weight. Results are typically seen after the 3rd or 4th treatment with an average of 6 treatments required (less for facial applications).
VEIN THERAPY
You no longer need to be embarrassed by blemished legs!
Effectively eliminate vessels, leaving your skin looking smooth and legs looking beautiful. Patients come to Flagstaff Face & Body with wide array of needs related to spider veins – small, medium, and large in size. Some have many and others come in with just a few. We are pleased to offer two safe options for treating your needs:
Sclerotherapy
Considered the “Gold Standard” for the treatment of spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a liquid agent through a tiny needle directly into your spider veins, causing them to contract and collapse. Depending on the number of spider veins, the procedure may require five minutes to one hour. Afterward, you will wear ace bandages or compression hose for three to twenty-one days as recommended. You should anticipate 50% improvement in spider veins following each session. A series of treatments will be necessary to achieve your desired results.
Laser Vein Therapy
During laser treatment, a laser is applied to the skin over your spider veins. Laser energy causes your spider veins to coagulate and seal closed. The sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed by the body. After each treatment, you will see a 70% to 80% improvement in the appearance of face spider veins and 30-40% improvement in leg spider veins. Combination therapy can be considered (Laser and Sclerotherapy) and beneficial if you have small, medium and large spider veins. You may wish to start with sclerotherapy, because sometimes all veins will be improved after injecting the larger ones. This may reduce the number of veins that need to be treated by laser and minimize your overall cost.
SKIN TAG REMOVAL

Skin tags occur most frequently on the eyelid, face, neck and underarm. There is no way to prevent skin tags, but they are not cancerous and have no long-term negative effects. Our physician can safely remove skin tags on your face, neck or body. There is no down time and little to no scarring.
